                <p style="text-align:justify; margin:0 0 18px; font-size:16px; line-height:1.6;">I'm Alejandro, the maintainer of SmallVec, one of the most downloaded crates in the Rust ecosystem. It's used directly by Deno and by many of its dependencies, including its HTTP library.</p>
                <p style="text-align:justify; margin:0 0 18px; font-size:16px; line-height:1.6;">SmallVec has over 1.3 billion downloads and is used by 40% of all crates in the ecosystem. Yet it's one of those pieces of foundational infrastructure that often goes unnoticed at the bottom of dependency graphs.</p>
                <p style="text-align:justify; margin:0 0 18px; font-size:16px; line-height:1.6;">SmallVec recently went through a 10-month period with little active maintenance. During that time, security vulnerabilities were found, the crate fell behind the standard library in API parity, and the backlog of PRs and issues grew to just over two years.</p>
                <p style="text-align:justify; margin:0 0 18px; font-size:16px; line-height:1.6;">I'm its new maintainer, and my goal is to make SmallVec financially sustainable over the long term so this critical piece of Rust infrastructure doesn't go unmaintained.</p>
