Settings → Accounts: a Claude sign-in code that claude refuses now gets a hint under the field, instead of silence. The gate treats ToolSearch as a read tool.

Background AI now runs on any engine you have (Claude, Codex or opencode): choose it in Settings → Background AI, or leave it on Auto. First-run onboarding, and the map and summaries keep working without any engine.

The plan is answered on the map: Reject next to Approve, no plan card in the chat. The plan rail shows finished steps of a revised plan and lets you expand the goal. A link no longer stays lit after the pointer leaves it.

The restart prompt after an update is now a toast inside the CodeRay window instead of a system dialog: Restart or Later, and it comes back when you check for updates again. If the window is closed, nothing pops up on its own; the Restart to Update menu item and the next quit still install the update.

Closing the window with the red cross now only closes the window, like in other Mac apps: CodeRay and its agents keep running, and clicking the Dock icon brings the window back. Quit with Cmd+Q: the app now waits for its background processes to stop, so the Dock no longer shows "Running in Background" after it exits.

First public release of CodeRay: a desktop IDE built around a live map of your code. See the agent's plan on the map before it writes a line, then review what it did.

macOS, Apple silicon. Signed and notarized; the app updates itself from GitHub Releases.
