Settings › AI Assistant › "Tag images automatically" gives each image added
to the media library a few tags, on the queue, reusing the library's tags
where they fit and adding a new one only when none does. Switching it on
tags the images already there without tags. The media library's "Tag images"
bulk action does the same for selected images, with an optional instruction,
whenever the assistant is set up. Tags someone chose are never changed.
