v2.38.0

2.38.0 (2026-10-03)

Features

• cocoa: a <Frame> pane's <video src> plays, on a player its host makes for it, where a pane runs no AppKit and a player made there never heard from AVFoundation, so a page's video in the browser example sat on its poster and a press did nothing (#856) (85651c6)

Performance Improvements

• cocoa: a node inside a scroll pane that is scrolling gets no layer and keeps none, so a wheel over a list whose rows fade on hover costs a frame what it did before rows could go on layers, 57% of a core where it took 66% (#857) (4e6cca8)
