v0.1.0
First release of simdjson_msgpack: JSON to MessagePack and back, with simdjson.
- JSON to MessagePack with simdjson's On-Demand parser, in the most compact encodings (the same bytes as msgpack-python's
packb(json.loads(text))); MessagePack to JSON with every length checked against the input. - One document, or many: newline-delimited JSON to a sequence of MessagePack values and back, on many threads.
- Output into a buffer of your own allocator (for language bindings, without a copy); a C interface.
- C++17, one header and one source file: take
simdjson_msgpack.handsimdjson_msgpack.cpp(orsingleheader.zip), with simdjson 5.0.7 or later.
On an Intel Xeon Gold 6338, one core, GCC 11: JSON to MessagePack at 0.7 to 3.2 GB/s (1.4 to 2 times as fast as yyjson), MessagePack to JSON at 0.4 to 2.3 GB/s (1.6 to 2.5 times as fast as mpack with yyjson). See the README for the details.
