What's changed

Keep your computer awake while agents work, triage todos, share shell history.

Features

  • Keep awake: a coffee button at the bottom left of the sidebar stops your computer from sleeping for a set time, until a date and time, or while agents are working. The screen can still sleep and lock. Optionally it also keeps a closed-lid Mac awake, and puts normal sleep back when the session ends, at logout, or when Termic quits.
  • Todos: a new sidebar view gathers the issues and pull requests from every project, filtered by kind and by what needs you, with one click to start a task from an issue or review a PR. It can be hidden in Settings, Appearance.
  • Agent customizations: skills and MCP servers kept per profile are added to every task for Claude, Codex and agents that read .agents/, with a project able to opt out or opt in on its own.
  • Sandbox: a per-task Block Keychain access option for Seatbelt-caged tasks, so the agent cannot read the macOS Keychain.
  • Shell history is kept when you close a terminal tab, and zsh tabs share one history as you type (on by default, Settings, Appearance).
  • Sidebar: a task can show its branch name after the name, on the right or below it. Off by default, in the Projects menu and Settings, Appearance.
  • Task finder: ⌘1 to ⌘6 (Ctrl on Linux and Windows) filter by All, Working, Settled, Attention, Review and Backlog, shown as chips in the footer.
  • Settings, Agents & Terminals: agents are a vertical list beside their card, and Agent hooks and Agent customizations sit below them.

Bug fixes

  • A Codex permission prompt no longer rings again every 10 seconds while it waits.
  • With Codex's automatic approval review on, a command it approves by itself no longer marks the tab as needing you. Only a prompt a person has to answer does.
  • Messages from other agents (task reports sent with termic send or the MCP server) no longer stay queued forever when the receiving agent's turn ends right after a permission request, for example one Codex's automatic review approved.
  • Clicking Install hooks for every agent right after opening Settings is no longer undone a moment later.
  • Codex accounts on credits show their budget in the usage footer instead of "Usage unknown".
  • Antigravity (agy) no longer drops the first prompt of a new tab, and new folders no longer stop at its trust question.
  • Agents started with termic new or tab, or the MCP tools, are told to report back to the agent that started them.
  • The Git tab keeps its Push button after you commit every change, so the commit can still be pushed (#426).
  • Dropping files from Finder onto a terminal works on Retina displays.
  • The Run script hints say a server must stay in the foreground: one started with &, nohup or --background keeps its port after Stop.

Install

  • macOS (universal): brew install --cask simion/termic/termic, or download the .dmg below. Signed and notarized by Apple, so it opens on first launch with nothing else to do.
  • Linux (x86_64): download the .AppImage below, then chmod +x it and run. Sandbox is macOS-only; everything else works the same. The image carries zsync update info, so Gear Lever and AppImageUpdate can update it in place (the .zsync beside it is for them, not for you).

The app self-updates after install. Full install and update help: https://termic.dev

  • Windows (x64, experimental): download the -setup.exe below and run it. It is not code-signed yet, so SmartScreen asks first: More info, then Run anyway. The sandbox is Docker only on Windows.
