What's changed
Review markdown in the preview, pick Todos projects, keep the display on.
Features
- Markdown preview as a review surface: a reader layout with its own text width, font and line height (Text width: Full brings the old look back), line numbers, an outline, go to line (⌘G), and task lists and whole blocks you can edit right in the preview. It also renders callouts, footnotes, definition lists, highlights, math and collapsible sections.
- Todos: pick several projects in the filter, remembered. Issue and PR lists are cached, so Todos, New Task and Review PR open with the last lists right away.
- Keep awake: a Keep display on option (off, the screen can still turn off and lock while the computer stays awake), an ∞ preset that holds until you turn it off, and the last duration you started is preselected.
- Sidebar: a PR opened in a task you have not visited yet is highlighted on its badge until you open the task.
- Task finder: an Open filter (⌘7, Ctrl+7 on Linux and Windows, or
is:open) for tasks with a live agent, and ⌘O opens the finder on it whenever an agent is running. - Audio files in the file tree open in a player.
- termic CLI and MCP:
new --member(MCPmembers) picks which repos of a multi-repo project get a worktree, andproject listshows each project's members.
Bug fixes
- A task's PR badge no longer gets stuck: review tasks on a detached HEAD find their PR by number, and a PR an agent opens shows up when its turn ends (#435).
- Windows: the mouse wheel reaches terminal apps that ask for it, such as opencode (#437).
- Windows: settings files are replaced in one step, so a read never finds one missing or half-written (#195).
- Windows: the comment box fits its text at 125% display scaling instead of showing a scrollbar.
- The Keep awake popover no longer shows its title twice.
- Schedules: a one-off set from the CLI or MCP with a time already past is refused instead of marked done, and a time skipped by a clock change is reported (#403).
Install
- macOS (universal):
brew install --cask simion/termic/termic, or download the.dmgbelow. Signed and notarized by Apple, so it opens on first launch with nothing else to do. - Linux (x86_64): download the
.AppImagebelow, thenchmod +xit and run. Sandbox is macOS-only; everything else works the same. The image carries zsync update info, so Gear Lever and AppImageUpdate can update it in place (the.zsyncbeside it is for them, not for you).
The app self-updates after install. Full install and update help: https://termic.dev
- Windows (x64, experimental): download the
-setup.exebelow and run it. It is not code-signed yet, so SmartScreen asks first: More info, then Run anyway. The sandbox is Docker only on Windows.
