I looked into this a bit last year. As far as I could tell it doesn't track CPU usage at all. Maybe I'm naive, but I would have thought the more CPUs you use the more power you use.

I mean surely... If it doesn't track CPU usage, is it literally just like

emissions = time * cpu_max_power * grid intensity

? That's no better than just plotting a straight line and calling it a day 🤷

There's a GitHub issue (484) suggesting that it only tracks memory usage, and that tracking CPU usage hasnt been merged.
