v0.9.2
More R-fidelity fixes — the rest of the ggplot2 4.0.3 validation work (#71 complete).
Fixes
- Axis breaks (#79): tick placement now uses the extended-Wilkinson algorithm (Talbot–Lin–Hanrahan), matching R's
scales::extended_breaks()exactly — e.g. a 0–10 axis reads0, 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10instead of0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10. - ECDF (#78):
stat_ecdfpads to ±Inf (ggplot2'spad = TRUE) so the step spans the panel;geom_stepclamps the ±Inf segments to the panel edge. - Violins (#77):
geom_violinnow trims to the data range (ggplot2'strim = TRUEdefault) at 512-point resolution. - LOESS (#76): local quadratic fit (R's default
degree = 2) — cuts the divergence from ggplot2 from ~1% to ~0.03%.
Follows v0.9.1 (QQ, histogram binning, 2-D binning, stack order). Every divergence found validating against ggplot2 4.0.3 is now fixed; axis breaks and several stats will look different from earlier versions — this is the correction toward ggplot2's behavior.
