v0.5.0 — Signal Den / Instrument reskin + Gemini TTS

Added

• Visual elevation reskin — Signal Den (dark) and Instrument (light). The dashboard has been reshaped around the day you actually spend in it: dark lane header wash, attention strips that surface what needs you across all lanes, a mobile lane bar for one-thumb navigation, and a redesigned card workbench. Code Mode now renders on the shared design tokens so it looks like one app with the rest of the dashboard.
• Gemini TTS provider. Google Gemini voices are now available for both Telegram and in-browser voice replies, alongside the existing ElevenLabs provider. The web Voice Settings page gets a provider picker with live preview per voice, a Designed Voices tab with local recipes you can tune and save, and the login gate now covers dynamic paths that end in a file extension (so voice preview URLs are not accidentally public).
• What's new release splash. The first time you open the dashboard on a new SlyCode version, a release splash shows you what shipped. It is a dismissible modal keyed per user per version, so you see it once and never again.
• Stage-strip hold-to-move with undo. On the dashboard's stage strip (the mobile and compact lane row), press-and-hold a card to move it to a different stage. An undo toast appears for a few seconds so a misdrag is a one-tap fix.
• Automation `--fresh-every N` days. `sly-kanban automation configure --fresh-every 7` keeps resuming the automation conversation most of the time but starts a fresh conversation once the current one is N days old. `--fresh-session true` is still available for always-fresh; `--fresh-session false` goes back to resume-forever and clears any `--fresh-every`. Kanban skill v1.21.0 documents the new flag.
• Doc viewer in a new tab. Long-form reference docs (features, designs, tests, HTML attachments) can now be opened in their own tab from the card modal instead of being pinned inside the small modal viewer.

Fixed

• Session-file corruption fix — a crash mid-write on the per-session state file can no longer leave the file truncated. Writes are now atomic (temp file + rename), so a bridge restart during a save never costs you the session.
• Notes cap fix — long cross-session agent notes no longer silently truncate at the storage layer; the write path and the UI agree on the same cap and surface it.

• OpenAI `gpt-transcribe` is now the default voice-input transcription backend (replacing `whisper-1`), with lower latency and better accuracy on short dictation.
• Security dep bump — Next.js patched to 16.3.8.
• Messaging skill v2.9.0 — Gemini TTS, per-browser reply length, voice-preview workflow.
• Kanban skill v1.21.0 — `--fresh-every N` on `automation configure`.

Note on versioning

This is a minor version bump (0.4.x → 0.5.x). Scoped-package consumers using the pre-1.0 caret range `^0.4.0` will NOT auto-upgrade; use `npm install @slycode/slycode@latest` to pick up 0.5.0. `@slycode/create-slycode@0.5.0` already resolves `@slycode/slycode@^0.5.0`.
