Download your DJI Osmo footage to your Mac over Wi-Fi, control the camera and watch it live, or use it as a USB webcam. Native, universal (Apple silicon + Intel), macOS 15 or later.

Install

  1. Download Osmotic-0.2.0.dmg below, open it and drag Osmotic onto Applications.
  2. The first time you open it, macOS says it can't verify the app — this build isn't notarized yet. Go to System Settings › Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway.
  3. Turn on the camera and click Connect.

Later versions install themselves (Osmotic › Check for Updates…). Osmotic-0.2.0.zip and its .sig are for the in-app updater.

What's new

  • Files · Live · Webcam. Live: start/stop recording, photo, modes (Video, Photo, Slow-mo, Low Light) and a live picture over Wi-Fi. Webcam: the camera over USB-C.
  • Tested with an Osmo Pocket 3: connect, list, download (~33 MB/s, resumable), live view, recording and mode changes.
  • A dark hardware-style interface, in English and Spanish; VoiceOver and Reduce Motion.
  • Updates from GitHub Releases, installed only if their Ed25519 signature matches.
  • Clips over 4 GB now show their real size, progress and time left.
  • Security: untrusted file names from the camera can't escape the download folder; a camera Wi-Fi password you type goes to the Keychain; downloads are only complete when every byte arrived.
