Flipper 0.5.0
The Windows installer is unsigned. Works with Flipper for Chrome 2.7.0.
What's new
One-pass setup, in Chrome
Set everything up once, in the Chrome extension: choose your services, choose how your Flippers behave, then download Flipper for Windows as the last step.
Flipper for Windows connects to Chrome by itself. There's no connection ID to copy or paste.
The Windows app's setup is now a single confirmation: it shows your Flippers, you click Start flipping, and it goes to the tray.
While it waits for Chrome, the Windows app shows what it's waiting for, with a spinner.
New services
GitHub Copilot: monthly Chat and Completions allowances.
Kimi: your monthly credit pool. Keep a kimi.ai tab open so Flipper can read your sign-in from it; the sign-in is held in memory only and never sent to Windows.
Purchased credits now show as their own face for ChatGPT, and Claude's usage credits show in dollars.
On your desktop
Keyboard shortcuts: Ctrl+Alt+S shows all Flippers, Ctrl+Alt+H hides them, Ctrl+Alt+R refreshes. Change or turn them off in Settings; the tray menu shows them.
Flipper size: one slider (70–150%) in Settings sizes every Flipper, on your desktop and on web pages. At 100%, web-page Flippers now match the desktop size.
Ferris wheel: stack your Flippers in one column and scroll to turn it. With auto-hide on, the whole column tucks away at the screen edge together.
Auto-hide now keeps Flippers tucked away until you hover over one or press Show All. They no longer pop out on their own.
As many services as you use: the three-Flipper limit is gone.
In Chrome
After setup, the extension's menu tells you whether Flipper for Windows is missing, closed or connected, and Open Flipper settings goes straight to the Windows app's settings.
Adding a service now works the first time, even if Chrome's permission prompt closes the menu.
Flippers on web pages start tucked away when a page loads, if auto-hide is on.
Fixes
One slow or stuck service can no longer stop the others from refreshing (Copilot could show "Retrying" because of this).
Settings syncing from Chrome no longer moves or reveals your Flippers.
Installing
Download Flipper_0.5.0_x64-setup.exe below and run it. Because the installer isn't signed yet, Windows may warn you: choose More info, then Run anyway.
Add Flipper for Chrome from the Chrome Web Store and follow its setup. Flipper for Windows connects by itself.
Upgrading from 0.4.x: install over the top. Your settings and Flipper positions are kept.
Good to know
Your sign-ins stay in Chrome. Flipper never asks for passwords; only usage figures and your display choices are shared with the Windows app.
Flipper shows only what each service reports. If a reading isn't available, it says so rather than guessing.
Replit is hidden for now while access is confirmed with Replit.
Flipper is independent and not affiliated with any AI provider.
