layout on ipad in Portrait mode is funky

The left-side navigation gets cut off, and you can't read the labels very well.

It'd be nice if the labels maybe shrank down to just icons - and you could still use them.

But it would probably also work to just use the phone layout when you are in portrait on an iPad. Either way.
