Example does not have proper encoding

At the top of the example.py file there should be a

#!/usr/bin/env python
# -*- coding: utf-8 -*-

You're keeping us on our toes. :) I was unaware of the encoding line. I've added it and the interpreter path in commit fb1335c . I'll go through the rest of the library and make sure it's code jives with PEP 8.
