v0.2.4 — Projectless chats

Projectless chats for DeepSeek Harness

Start a chat without selecting a project folder. Each new projectless chat receives its own persistent working directory, while Harness continues to manage messages, models, tools, and permissions.

Install

1. Download dsh-plugin-projectless-0.2.4.tgz from this release.
2. Open Harness → Plugins → Add plugin and choose the downloaded file.
3. In a new chat's workspace menu, select 不在项目中工作 / No workspace.

This is a prebuilt package; installation does not need a source build. Source-only Git installation is not the supported distribution path for this release.

Compatibility and verification

• Node.js: 24.9.0 or later.
• DSH: >=0.2.1-rc.3 <0.3.0-0; current integration baseline is 0.2.1-rc.5, not a guarantee for untested future interfaces.
• Local type checks, build, and all 37 automated tests passed before publishing.
• The release archive contains only the bundle patch, compiled entries and declarations, source maps, manifest, README, and MIT license; no local profiles, chat logs, screenshots, credentials, or dependencies are included.

Important boundaries

• A separate directory is not a security sandbox; Harness's configured permissions still apply.
• Existing project chat history and attachments are not migrated. Only an unsent text draft is copied when selecting the projectless option.
• Chat directories are persistent and are not automatically deleted, including after failed session creation.
