Notion Quick Capture 1.0.0

The first public release. Press a global shortcut from anywhere, type a note in Markdown, and it's saved to a Notion page or database. It works offline, too.

Highlights

  • Capture from anywhere: a global shortcut (default Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+N) opens a small panel over whatever you're doing.
  • Markdown editor that formats as you type: headings, nested lists, to-dos, quotes, code, tables, images and links all arrive in Notion as proper blocks. Type / for the block menu, or paste rich text from web pages.
  • Pages and databases: save to a page, or to a database with a form built from its properties. Large databases show the most useful properties first.
  • Switch destination per note with Ctrl/Cmd+K. Recent destinations are listed first.
  • Nothing gets lost: unfinished notes survive closing the panel and restarting the app, and Discard has an Undo.
  • Works offline: captures are queued and sync automatically when you're back online.
  • Private by design: your Notion token is encrypted with your OS keychain, and the app sends no telemetry.
  • Your look: light, dark or system theme, plus adjustable panel position, width and font size.
  • Automatic updates on Windows and the Linux AppImage. macOS and .deb installs tell you when a new version is out.

Getting started

You'll need a Notion internal integration token. See Connect to Notion in the README.
