[BUG] Stashes: Can't see changes for added files

Context

I just upgraded to 2025.18 and noticed that in my stashes list, when I select a stash to see the diffs, I can't see the changes for added files anymore.

Actual behavior

No diff is shown:

Expected behavior

I should see the diff for the new file.

Can not reproduce this issue.

Upgraded to 2025.19 and still having the issue 🤔

Applying the stash still works, it's only the diff viewer that doesn't show anything 🤷

EDIT: on macOS Sequoia 15.5

Could you please provide a minimal repo or the detail information to reproduce this issue? And what’s version of git do you use?

• Steps to reproduce: copy/paste the README.md into README copy.md, stage it, stash it:
