Date and time formats, open to think about configuration option?

Currently it seems that the date and time formats shown in the UI are hard coded to a certain format, and since I tend to like ISO format, I started to think how to make the formats configurable.

Would that be something that you are open to discuss, or welcome a PR?

Perhaps it could be two options, one for date format and one for time format, placed below the language selection option in the preferences?
