A (very) basic wrapper on mymemory.com translation resful API. See the mymemory website for usage constraints.
Add this line to your application's Gemfile:
And then execute:
Or install it yourself as:
gem install mymemory
text = 'a rose for Emily' Mymemory.translate(text, :from => :en, :to => :it) # => 'una rosa per Emily'
:from => :en pair is optional as long as the original language is english.
It's totally optional, but providing an email currently gives you extra free translations. To set the email parameter:
Mymemory.config.email = 'email@example.com'
This will add
&firstname.lastname@example.org to the query url.
