Mymemory

A (very) basic wrapper on mymemory.com translation resful API. See the mymemory website for usage constraints.

Installation

Add this line to your application's Gemfile:

  gem 'mymemory'

And then execute:

  $ bundle

Or install it yourself as:

  gem install mymemory

Usage

  text = 'a rose for Emily'
  Mymemory.translate(text, :from => :en, :to => :it)
  # => 'una rosa per Emily'

The :from => :en pair is optional as long as the original language is english.

Configuration

It's totally optional, but providing an email currently gives you extra free translations. To set the email parameter:

  Mymemory.config.email = 'info@example.com'

This will add &de=info@example.com to the query url.
