Relation between genres / how to the available seed genres relate to the ones available for artists

Hi,
I'm looking for something that shows the relation or even better the degree of the relation of genres.
I was thinking that i can perhaps use the the recommendation feature, but it only takes "certain" available genre seeds. Artist have genres assigned that are not in the list of those seed genres.
How can i get more information on the genres that are related to the artist?

+1 here. A way to map artist genres to the available genre seeds on recommendation-related endpoints would be very nice.

Thanks for the request! At the moment, the recommendations API uses a different set of genres to the ones that are available on artist objects, so there is no exact map there. I'll take this as a feature request, and post any updates here.

+1. There are way too few available genre seeds to narrow down searches by genre. It would be great if we're able to use any genre in the recommendations API.
