Sébastien Deleuze opened SPR-17069 and commented

As described in #21546 and as benchmarked in the attached flamegraph, using kotlin-reflect.jar is not a free lunch, and for functional Spring application without Jackson, it does not bring any value so we should support running Spring Framework 5.1 without this dependency as part of our performance improvement theme.
