Hi ! This is definitely possible, and even recommended: sqlpage and the database should not run in the same container. Expose port 3306 from the mariadb container, ensure both containers are running on the same network, and give the address of the mariadb as the sqlpage database URLs. We have many docker-based examples, most of them use docker compose. See for example https://github.com/sqlpage/SQLPage/blob/main/examples/mysql%20json%20handling/docker-compose.yml Do you need help with any part of the setup ? |

So I have a MariaDB database running in a Docker container. I would like to build a web front end for read-only queries, that would run in a different Docker container and would query against the existing DB.
To be more specific, the DB is from an old forum and initially I would like to just allow the user to enter a username and be able to see all the posts created by that user. The existing forum site allows anyone to do that already, so it wouldn't be seen by anyone as a privacy issue! I am hoping the query could be implemented in some sort of paged manner for what should be obvious reasons.
Does anyone mind my asking this without having to glean this answer from existing documentation? Thanks!
