deSIDuous v1.03
deSIDuous is a VST3 instrument built on cycle-exact MOS 6581 / 8580 SID chip emulation (reSIDfp) and JUCE 8.
What's new in 1.03
- 256 factory presets (was 64): 64 new originals across bass, leads, pads, arpeggios, keys, drums, FX and waveforms, plus SID interpretations of all 128 General MIDI instruments. The original 64 keep their program numbers.
- Preset menu with submenus per category; the General MIDI families sit under their own submenu.
- No more clicks at note start. Velocity is now a smoothed digital gain instead of rewriting the chip's volume register, sleeping chips settle before they are heard, and chips are cleared on preset change.
- All presets level-matched again (253 of 256 within 1.5 dB).
