@ssharaf-dot ssharaf-dot released this 01 Nov 19:33

Ethos 0.1.1 brings the Ethos Blue identity and the Ethos design system to the whole suite.

New look

  • New app icons and colours: Ethos Home blue, PDF Professional violet, Docs navy, Sheets green, Slides peach and terracotta.
  • Docs, Sheets and Slides open with one compact tools row and an Inspector beside your work; the classic ribbon is an option.
  • New installer artwork for macOS and Windows.

Ethos Home

  • New Home layout: a greeting, one grid of app cards with each app's own colour and a direct action (New document, Open a PDF, New spreadsheet, New presentation), and a simpler footer.

Ethos Docs, Sheets and Slides

  • The interface uses the Ethos typefaces: Inter for text and Manrope for titles.
  • Start screens with an Ethos title and greeting.

Ethos Sheets

  • Safer saving: if a workbook contained something Ethos Sheets could not read, Save now asks before overwriting the original file, and offers to save a copy instead. AutoSave does not overwrite such files.
  • The selected cell's border keeps its purple in dark mode.

Windows

  • Installers now upgrade an installed 0.1.0 in place.

Ethos Home

  • Shows each app's installed version, and offers its own updates as a download on macOS.

Downloads

  • macOS (Apple Silicon, macOS 11 or later): .dmg. Windows (64-bit): .msi, installed per user without administrator rights.
  • These builds are not yet signed by Apple or with a Windows certificate. See https://www.ethostechnologies.si for first-launch steps.
  • SHA256SUMS.txt lists the checksum of every file.

@ssharaf-dot ssharaf-dot released this 01 Nov 16:46

The first release of the Ethos productivity suite: Ethos Home, Ethos PDF Professional, Ethos Docs, Ethos Sheets and Ethos Slides.

Start with Ethos Home. It installs and updates every Ethos app.

  • macOS (Apple Silicon): open the DMG and drag the app to Applications. These preview builds aren't notarized yet. The first time you open one, right-click it, choose Open, then Open again.
  • Windows (x64): run the MSI. It installs for the current user, with no administrator rights needed. If SmartScreen says the publisher is unknown, choose More info, then Run anyway.

Every file's SHA-256 is listed in SHA256SUMS.txt.
