v1.1.0 — support for the new MCP protocol, file copying, security update
MCP protocol 2026-07-28 next to the earlier revisions, over HTTP and stdio: no initialize, the protocol version and client capabilities in every request's _meta, server/discover, resultType and serverInfo in every result, ttlMs and cacheScope on tools/list and server/discover. Over HTTP the MCP-Protocol-Version, Mcp-Method and Mcp-Name headers are checked against the body (-32020 on a mismatch), an unsupported version gets -32022 with the supported list, an unknown method 404. Clients on 2025-11-25 and earlier keep the initialize handshake.
copy_file: copies a file inside the vault; the destination follows the rules of write_file (missing parents created, overwriting an existing file only where the zone allows it, read-only zones, the trash, marker names and existing documents refused). Directories are not copied.
Protocol revision 2025-11-25 for clients that use initialize; it is now the answer to an unknown version.
Removed
read_file, the deprecated alias of read_text_file: use read_text_file. Still 20 tools.
The #N page suffix of read_media_file (manual.pdf#3): one PDF page as an image is read_pdf_page. A PDF given to read_media_file, with or without the suffix, is refused with that pointer.
Changed
EML text follows postal-mime 4.1.4: body text dropped in some malformed messages is extracted; a message/rfc822 attachment keeps the line endings of the message, so its size in the attachment list can differ. Cached document text is extracted again once, since the cache is tied to the doclines version.
A JSON-RPC notification is never answered, whatever its method.
trash_file says in its description that a directory is not discarded as a unit.
Fixed
read_media_file reads an image whose name contains #; the path was cut at the # before.
Security
doclines 0.1.1 with postal-mime 4.1.4: fixes GHSA-f2hq-32vh-53cc (quadratic CPU time when decoding a mail header made of many joinable RFC 2047 base64 encoded words).
