Releases: standing-desks/handshake
Release list
v0.6.1
Added
- Move workflow, file, and browser tabs between sessions from their context menus,
with Undo support. Running workflows and terminal splits continue during a move. - Keep a compact session and tab rail when the sidebar is hidden, with a hover
preview that leaves keyboard focus in the terminal.
Changed
- Show tabs under their sessions in the sidebar by default, including activity,
pins, and unsaved edits. Switch back to the top tab bar from the View menu or
tab and session context menus. - Scope file and browser tabs to the session that opened them, restore each
session's selected tab, and search across sessions with Find Open Tab. Files
open in multiple sessions share their edits. - Place agent-controlled browser pages in their terminal's session, keep popups
with their opener, and reopen closed pages in their original session.
v0.6.0
Added
- Add opt-in beta browser control through the bundled CLI, with scoped agent-owned
tabs, page inspection, native interactions, screenshots, waits, and user takeover.
Codex and Claude Code receive native MCP integration; supported harnesses receive
browser instructions on app-managed launches. Ordinary browser tabs remain available
without enabling browser control. - Add Kiro CLI V3 integration with native trace hooks and conversation-specific resume.
- Add explicit shared-memory corrections and bound the context delivered at prompts.
- Recognize supported agent commands launched in Terminal tabs, show the agent's
identity while the command runs, and return to Terminal when it finishes.
Changed
- Make tab management standard, unify top-bar control sizing, and simplify tab status.
- Group optional features under Experimental settings and label cross-agent memory
sharing as a beta that remains disabled by default. - Use the first native prompt to name generic workflow traces while preserving
structured task titles and custom tab names.
Fixed
- Align terminal text and cursor glyphs to device pixels to avoid extra smoothing
from fractional placement, without replacing SwiftTerm or changing terminal ownership. - Preserve emoji and combined characters beneath the terminal's block cursor.
- Restore Kiro divider visibility and fill running trace markers consistently.
v0.5.0
Added
- Browse websites in tabs with an address bar, navigation controls, keyboard shortcuts,
sibling popup tabs, native dialogs, and file uploads. Keep pages and history while
switching tabs or sessions; use experimental tab management to rename, reorder, pin,
search, reopen, and restore browser page addresses across relaunch. - Preview PDFs, images, and videos in file tabs without the text editor's 2 MiB limit.
Videos include playback and seek controls and pause when hidden; text images such as
SVG retain their Source editor. - Keep the Mac awake with an app-wide toolbar control, including on the start page.
Keep Awake lasts until disabled or Handshake quits and starts Off after relaunch. - Refresh shared project memories at each prompt in Codex and Claude Code conversations
launched with sharing enabled, including while other agents are active. Local
consolidation makes no model calls. - Archive shared memories for the whole project, inspect their retained full content,
and explicitly restore them in Memory settings. Confirmed deletion of a known native
memory archives its shared claim and suppresses known derived copies across restarts. - Use Individual mode after graph-based multi-agent workflows finish to follow up with
agents without starting another workflow cycle.
Changed
- Place the new-workflow button beside the tabs and keep it reachable during overflow.
- Show a Done marker on completed top-level workflow tabs and remove their running,
exit, and unread indicators. Keep agent status visible inside multi-agent workflows. - Preserve existing native memory files during active sessions by delivering updated
shared memories in separate revision files until replacement is safe. - Expand the user guide for browser tabs, media previews, and cross-agent memory sharing.
Fixed
- Attach memory services before restoring agents so resumed conversations receive their
native memory profile and prompt hooks on the first launch. - Honor native memory opt-outs, report unsupported Codex memory layouts, and distinguish
missing profile directories or temporary file replacement from intentional deletion. - Preserve concurrent native memory edits, recover interrupted memory restoration, and
handle agents exiting during memory delivery checks. - Keep browser and preview focus, visibility, and pointer interaction correct across
tab changes and app zoom levels, and leave room for toolbar controls beside long folder titles.
v0.4.2
Changed
- Default the sidebar to closed and remember its visibility for each folder.
- Launch Single agent workflows directly from the harness menu with each harness's
defaults, and remember the YOLO mode checkbox on the workflow tile. - Replace the memory-sharing sheet entry with a compact Share switch and settings gear
in the Memories header. Keep agent labels and native-profile layouts open to additional
supported agents while preserving the current adapters and AMIS behavior.
Added
-
Add opt-in experimental tab management with workflow names, drag reordering,
pinned tabs, a searchable open-tab list, keyboard navigation, and reopening closed tabs. -
Add a Feature flags section in Settings, starting with app-wide cross-agent memory consolidation.
The flag defaults off, persists in configuration, and applies to open folders without a restart. -
Share project memory automatically between Codex and Claude Code using a local AMIS 0.4 library,
native memory delivery, receiver-owned policy, provenance and recoverable publication receipts. -
Inspect sharing status, pause or resume the project policy, and view native profile locations.
Fixed
- Show active-session deferral as waiting, and keep storage details usable at 200% zoom.
v0.4.1
Changed
- Update Rust, syntax parsing, and installer build dependencies.
Fixed
- Use the same dark background in light and dark app icon modes to improve
contrast on white backgrounds. Preserve clear and tinted icon appearances.
v0.4.0
Changed
- Rename Twine to Handshake across the app, terminal integration, documentation,
website, installer, and reusable Rust and C libraries. - Migrate existing app data, configuration, themes, and workflows to Handshake
while retaining the original files and honoring existing Handshake destinations. - Preserve the app's bundle identifier and preferences, and accept legacy Twine
environment overrides when their Handshake replacements are not supplied. - Package Handshake downloads and prepare both Homebrew taps for the new cask.
Upgrading from Twine
Twine is now Handshake. The rename avoids confusion with unrelated projects using the same name. Your saved work and settings carry forward, the app keeps its bundle identity, and original Twine data remains available.
Read the upgrade guide for Homebrew upgrades and manual app replacement. Both historical cask names, twine-app and twine-ade, map to handshake. Existing twineproject/tap users can stay on that compatibility tap.
v0.3.3
Added
- Browse Antigravity memories alongside Codex and Claude Code in the Memories sidebar.
- Configure the terminal cursor shape with
terminal.cursor_style— accepts"block","underline", or"bar". - Control whether the terminal cursor blinks with
terminal.cursor_blink— defaults totrue.
Fixed
- Agent picker dropdowns now only show agents available on the user's PATH. If no agents are installed, the picker indicates that none are available.
v0.3.2
Added
- Choose separate light and dark terminal palettes with optional
[theme]settings.
Changed
- Use a private bundled Hack Nerd Font when no custom font is configured, so terminal icons work
without installing a font. Custom font names continue to select fonts installed in macOS. - Use Twine light and dark terminal palettes with neutral surfaces, vivid accents, and
clearer selections. Preserve customized themes.
Fixed
- Show the “No Open Tabs” message directly on the workspace background.
v0.3.1
Added
- Show Git status beside files and dots beside folders with changes.
Changed
- Use a compact closed Traces header and larger trace labels.
- Show the folder name and path on one titlebar line. A shorter workflow strip
and tighter spacing give terminals more room. - Make workflow creation and terminal split buttons easier to click.
Removed
- The Collapse All menu in the Files header.
Fixed
- Fix incorrect session controls in the sidebar.
- Fix Files and Sessions collapsing, with matching sidebar headings and smooth
section animations. - Improve Traces opening, closing, and detail-panel animations.
- Keep sidebar and Traces controls reachable in small windows.
- Keep matching trace activities visible when filtering.
- Fix Go to Line losing focus when zooming.
v0.3.0
Added
- Create workflow graphs in a native editor that fills the tab using intuitive controls.
- Connect agents to work in parallel, send pieces while work continues, collect
results, select a result, or compare completion times. - Set instructions, work rules, and an optional color for each agent. Save optional
default harness, model, effort, and permission settings.
Changed
- Twine source, releases, and update checks now use
standing-desks/twine.
The website and guides are athttps://standing-desks.github.io/twine/. - Identify debug builds with a DEBUG badge on the app icon.
- Fully overhauled the new workflow menu.
- Store user workflows as versioned TOML files beside the selected config file.
Existing saved workflows move from SQLite to files. Older definitions with
duplicate names or names unsuitable for files remain readable in SQLite. - Adversarial and Coordinator ship as TOML agent graphs and use the same editor
and runtime as user graphs.
Fixed
- Opening an idle workflow no longer sends setup instructions as a task or starts
agent work before the user enters a task.
