v0.10.0
EdenText 0.10.0 extends table support: tables can be nested in table cells, placed beside the text
of a text box and set in multi-column sections, where column changes now apply to the selected
paragraphs only. The desktop app opens documents from the file manager and saves back into them,
writes vector PDFs without the print dialog and is packaged for Flathub. Page breaks follow
LibreOffice more closely, and comments survive inside tracked changes in DOCX files.
Added
- Nested tables: a table cell holds a table, and a table inserted in a list splits the list,
which continues its numbering after it - Tables in text boxes beside the box's text, and tables in multi-column sections, cut
between rows at a page boundary - Columns for the selected paragraphs: a column change with a selection splits the section
around it; the last section balances its columns as the saved file shows - Continue and Restart Numbering in the context menu of an ordered list
- The window title names the open document
- The desktop app opens documents from the system (odt, ott, docx, dotx) in a window of their
own and saves back into them; vector PDF saves directly, without the print dialog - Flatpak packaging: the Linux release ships a
tar.gzfor the Flathub package, whose updates
come from Flathub - README in Portuguese, Greek, Japanese and Traditional Chinese
Fixed
- A page holds the lines LibreOffice fits and splits a hyphenated word at its hyphen; a block at a
page top stays out of the top margin, and a block that opens a page is never pushed to the next - A columns section below another starts on the same page
- DOCX comment ranges and other markers inside tracked changes, moves, links and fields are kept
- A negative paragraph indent survives import and export
- A language change rewrites only the blocks and runs it changes
- Comment menu actions run instead of closing the menu; New comment and Index entry ask in a
dialog of their own, which also works in the desktop app - The desktop app passes mail and phone links to the system, offers cut, copy, paste and spelling
suggestions in fields, and a second launch opens a window in the running app
