Thanks for the report, and sorry the migration has been rough. What you hit is a limit of DL7 rather than a bug in our importer. DL7 was designed by DAN to collect depth and time profiles for their decompression research, and it carries very little logbook data. More Mobile Software say as much on their own export page: it is "not the best format to communicate general information about a dive for logbook purposes and is actually lacking in much information desired by logbook users." Sites, buddies, equipment, weights and trips simply are not in the file we received, so no amount of parser work on our side would recover them. The better path is the logbook itself. DiveLogDT stores your log as a SQLite database and can export that file directly, and it is the same format Diving Log 5.0 uses on Windows. That file does hold your sites, buddies, equipment, weights, tanks and trips, so an importer for it can bring across everything DL7 dropped, and it would serve Diving Log users at the same time. I can build that, but in order to map it correctly rather than guess at column names, could you export your DiveLogDT logbook (the SQLite file, not DL7) and send it to support@submersion.app ? If you would rather not share your full log, a copy trimmed to a handful of dives works just as well, as long as those dives have a site, a buddy, some gear, weights and a trip attached, so every table is represented. Tracking this as a feature request either way. |

Sent my full file (60MB) to your email, happy to create a smaller version with a little less data if that’s more helpful! |

Thanks. Received your data and am working on the importer. It should be in the next release. |
Uh oh!

I would love to switch to Submersion, but I've got about 500 dives in DiveLogDT, and the migration is somewhat painful. I did the DL7 export, then imported that to Submersion, but it lost all of my dive locations, dive buddies, equipment, weights, tank info, trip info, etc.
