The second major release of Simple Music Player brings a leap forward in functionality, stability, and polish.
Version 0.2.0 introduces Synced Lyrics, expanded format support, persistent personalization features, and major database-level optimizations — making the player faster, smarter, and more musical than ever.

🎤 Synced Lyrics System

  • Added time-synced lyrics integrated directly with the music visualizer.
  • Supports both synchronized and unsynchronized (USLT tag) lyrics.
  • Smooth lyric highlighting synced with playback position.
  • Optimized lyric parsing pipeline for real-time updates with minimal CPU load.

🎧 Expanded Audio Format Support

  • Added support for M4A, AAC, and FLAC file formats.
  • Full compatibility with existing visualizer and metadata systems.

🎼 Queue & Playlist System

  • Introduced Queue Mechanism for managing upcoming tracks.

⚙️ How to Run

  1. Install Java 25 or later (Recommended: Azul Zulu OpenJDK 25 (LTS)).

    • Make sure Java is installed and added to your PATH.

    • You can verify by running this command in Command Prompt:

      java --version

      It should show something like:

      openjdk 25 2025-09-16 LTS
OpenJDK Runtime Environment Zulu25.28+85-CA (build 25+36-LTS)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM Zulu25.28+85-CA (build 25+36-LTS, mixed mode, sharing)

  2. Download and extract the latest release .zip.

  3. Run Simple_Music_Player_0.2.0.exe.

  4. Select your music directory and enjoy synced lyrics in real time! 🎶
