@github-actions github-actions released this 18 Sep 21:04

Icon Fairy 3.1.1 improves the existing picker, upload flow, and annotation editor while preserving your library, assignments, settings, annotations, and folder-heart artwork.

  • Hosted review compatibility: equivalent grid spacing resolves the mobile CSS warning from 3.1.0.
  • Clearer library management: per-icon Rename/Delete menus, a Current marker for the assigned icon, stable search layout, and larger mobile menu targets.
  • Clearer upload actions: sidebar and note-title previews, distinct Apply/Insert/Add-to-library buttons, and explanations for library saving.
  • More compact editing: a smaller annotation editor, platform-correct keyboard hints, and settings examples that follow your shortcode prefix.
  • More reliable interactions: retain another icon's draft during delayed rename/delete, preserve focus and cancellation, and ignore stale upload results after changing views.

Existing Icon Fairy installations can update through Settings → Community plugins → Check for updates. The plugin remains icon-fairy, requires Obsidian 1.5.7+, and introduces no runtime dependencies or data-format changes.

Validation includes 241 automated tests, zero-warning official lint, TypeScript/build/release checks, and actual Obsidian Light/Dark and desktop mobile-emulation QA. All nine README screenshots were refreshed in Light mode. See the QA report.

@github-actions github-actions released this 13 Sep 10:31

Icon Fairy 3.0.0 unifies the product name, repository, installation ID, sample vault, and documentation, with the selected original A2 logo.

  • Product: Icon Fairy
  • Plugin ID: icon-fairy
  • Repository: t1seo/icon-fairy
  • Minimum Obsidian: 1.5.7

This is a separate installation from Folder Fairy 2.x (icon-studio) and Custom Icon / Icon Studio 1.x (custom-icon). Back up your vault and follow the migration guide to preserve data, icons, settings, and annotations. Choose exactly one previous installation as the source, and reassign hotkeys to the new commands. Both previous repositories and releases remain preserved.

The warning fixes and runtime behavior from 2.0.3 remain in place. Existing :ci-...: shortcodes and custom library icon IDs retain their format.

Download main.js, manifest.json, and styles.css below for manual installation. Community publication is verified separately at the Icon Fairy listing.
