GMLspeak v1.2.2

Choose a tag to compare

@tabularelf tabularelf released this 05 Apr 05:42
6f1bc29

New

  • Added exit keyword (similar to return;)
  • Added GMLspeak macro, which contains GMLspeak environment instance.
  • All compiled programs from GMLspeak now return undefined if no return statement was provided.

Fixed

  • Bug with useVariableHashes not properly referencing key values.

GMLspeak v1.2.1

Choose a tag to compare

@tabularelf tabularelf released this 10 Mar 19:12

New

  • Compile flags introduced!
  • Two new compile flags!
  • GMLspeakEnv.interface.compileFlags.checkForVariables will determine whether it should check for variables existence or not. This is currently set to false to match Catspeak.
  • GMLspeakEnv.interface.compileFlags.useVariableHash will determine if it should use variable hashes in place of the struct accessor lookup. (Generally a lot faster, but only available in modern monthly versions.)

Note: These are still relatively experimental and do not cover all cases. Keep this in mind as accessing some variable spaces will not be possible.

Fixed

  • Fixed issues where single line if statements, without curly braces, wouldn't work (along other blocks)
  • Allows the creation of block code in general.

GMLspeak v1.2.0

Choose a tag to compare

@tabularelf tabularelf released this 04 Mar 03:41

Note: This release only supports Catspeak v3.2.0 and above.

New

  • Added try/catch and throw support. (Finally may come in a future update)
try {
  var buff = buffer_load("myfile.txt");
  var value = buffer_read(buff, buffer_text);
  buffer_delete(buff);
  throw value;
} catch(_ex) {
  show_debug_message(_ex);
}

Fixed

  • Fixed .exposeEverythingIDontCareIfModdersCanEditUsersSaveFilesJustLetMeDoThis from not working.

GMLspeak v1.1.1

Choose a tag to compare

@tabularelf tabularelf released this 31 Jul 23:29

Added:

  • Support for write toggleable keyboard_string, room and many other constants similar to it (including array versions)
  • Support for alarm[index] for instances
  • Support for GML accessors ref[$ key]/ref[? key]/ref[| index]/ref[@ index]/ref[# index1, index2]
  • Support for argument[index] and argument_count (Catspeak v3.1.1. If you don't have it and it's not released (at this time it is not), please use the one included with this release)
  • Debug constants that are similar to GMs own __GMLINE__, __GMFUNCTION__, __GMFILE__

Fixed:

  • do/until executing for the first time 2x

Notes:

At this point, outside of template strings, there isn't anything else that I feel is needed to be added.
