v0.31.0
Cully v0.31.0
The Cully daemon can now start a command you choose once a day.
- Scheduled jobs. List a job in
~/.cully/jobs.jsonwith a name, the program and its arguments, and a local time such as22:30. The daemon starts it once that time has passed, detached and at low priority. Cully adds nolaunchd, cronorsystemdentry, so a job runs only while a Cully session has started the daemon. - Strict by default. A job is an exact argument list, not a shell line, started in your home directory. Cully refuses a
jobs.jsonthat group or others can write or that has unknown fields, and Cully itself never creates or edits the file. It is read with your permissions like a shell profile, so anything running as you can change it. - Predictable timing. A new job waits for its first scheduled time. A night missed while the computer slept is made up at the next check, a job runs one at a time, a failed run is retried after a wait up to a limit, and a job that runs past its timeout is stopped along with every process in its group, including ones that ignore SIGTERM.
- Commands.
cully jobsshows each job, its last result and when it is next due.cully jobs run NAMEruns one now and prints its output.
See scheduled jobs. Update with cully update; no setup changes are needed.

v0.30.0
Cully v0.30.0
Cully no longer writes to your repository when you apply a suggestion.
- Project notes live in Cully's own folder.
cully applysaves rules and skills under~/.cully/skills/projects/<name>_<id>/. It writes no instruction file, skill folder or.mcp.jsonin the repo and runs no command. An MCP server or command in a suggestion is shown as a manual step for you. If you want the notes in Git, review them and copy them where your skills live; Cully prints the folder. - One folder per project. Every worktree and clone of a repository shares it, and it survives a rename of the repository's owner or organisation. The id is assigned once and recorded in
index.json. A session started in the project is pointed at its notes. - The advisor's Apply request follows the same rule. It asks the agent not to edit the repository, to save rules or a skill through
cully apply, and to describe MCP servers as steps for you. The Cully skill, plugins and mobile apps say the same. - Proposals show both sides. Optimization plans can record risks and how to undo them, the advisor is asked to fill them, and opening a plan explains benefit, risks and undo before you accept. Plans saved earlier stay valid.
- The advisor sees more of your workflow skill. A
dev-workflow-rulesskill over its limit is now cut at a line with a notice instead of being ignored, and the newest lines ofreferences/lessons.mdare included, still within 12 KiB.
cully improve, which improves Cully itself, is unchanged. Update with cully update; no setup changes are needed.

v0.29.1
Restore the Cully panel's native usage instruments after the status-line removal:
- Codex: request model, context, input/output tokens and available quotas for the wrapped child when no custom footer is configured.
- Claude Code: restore the live native usage callback inside
cully run claude. Keep saved settings unchanged and preserve an existing user status-line command. - Cursor: display the model reported by native hooks and label the context percentage/token sample reported before compaction. Clear that historical sample on later activity; input/output totals and quotas remain unavailable when Cursor does not report them.
Callbacks are isolated to the live pane and primary native session. Missing/null measurements clear stale usage, and late or foreign callbacks cannot populate another session. Regression and CLI pseudo-terminal tests cover all three agents, native-setting preservation and session boundaries.
Update the CLI with cully update, then start a new Cully terminal session. For Cursor's new preCompact hook, rerun cully setup with your original options. Explicit Codex footer overrides and Claude project/CLI status-line settings remain authoritative; they can opt out of the injected usage feed. Direct native agent launches keep their existing configuration.

v0.29.0
Add the Cully VS Code extension beside Agent Chat. Its live dashboard shows session health and the harness, with MCP details and distinct theme-aware colors; Advisor, Scout and extra details stay collapsed until needed. Add advisor suggestions to Agent Chat as editable prompts. Launch Claude Code, Codex or Cursor through cully run, and open status, replay, handoff, harness, impact and self-improvement views from the extension.
Download the attached VSIX and install it with code --install-extension cully-vscode-0.1.0.vsix.
v0.28.0
Support Warp for cully run claude and other agents. WarpTerminal now passes the terminal check instead of being rejected; setup gives manual Nerd Font guidance (Settings → Appearance → Text) and never rewrites Warp settings.

v0.27.1
Fix dead trackpad and wheel scrolling in cully run for fullscreen agents that never ask for mouse reports. Cully was capturing the wheel and dropping it; each notch now reaches the agent as arrow keys, while agents that request the mouse still receive real wheel events.

v0.27.0
Cully now activates only through cully run. Hooks, the skill and the workflow skill are gated on the run marker, so direct claude, codex and cursor-agent launches stay fully native, and setup no longer writes Codex AGENTS.md guidance. The Cully status line is removed in favour of the panel, and cully setup --all --prepare is gone.
Add an opt-in left sidebar of named sessions with cully run --sidebar AGENT (or CULLY_SIDEBAR=1): start, switch and rename sessions, each with its own agent, input and scroll position. Renames must be unique.
Terminal support is now capability-based: Ghostty, iTerm2, Kitty, WezTerm, Alacritty, macOS Terminal and native Linux terminals work; Warp stays unsupported. Setup applies a backed-up Nerd Font and zsh preset automatically, and terminal check/configure/restore commands verify rendering honestly. macOS and Linux only.

v0.26.0
Analyse completed user-prompt windows every 12 prompts by default, then scout current Claude Code, Codex or Cursor documentation, practical articles and primary research papers. Filter findings against the task and remembered workflows while immediate local warnings stay active.
Remember repeated procedures across sessions with owner-scoped evidence and saved skill, workflow, plugin, tool, process or harness plans. Add three MCP tools to save, retrieve and decide on plans, with versioned user decisions and Mem0 indexing. Schema version 10 adds pattern and evidence storage.
Restore Warp conversation scrolling before and after opening the advisor, including over the compact panel. Fix advisor workers to use actual Cully MCP registrations, isolate public scouts from configured MCP tools and report remembered patterns with research results. Keep one ongoing marketplace submission issue for the latest release.

v0.25.1
Cully 0.25.1
- Documentation refresh. The README, docs index, website and advisor controls table now describe 0.25.0's technique discovery and its
CULLY_DISCOVERY=offopt-out. No code or behavior changes.
Update with cully update --version v0.25.1. See the advisor guide.

v0.25.0
Cully 0.25.0
- Two clear terminal sections. Keep Harness on the left and combine native instruments and observed Cully activity under Session on the right. Quota, input/output tokens, Fast mode and Git changes stay together. The layout preserves the current health bar, hidden-duplicate behavior, agent-specific historical measurements and MCP connection checks, and stacks the same two sections on narrow terminals.
- Discover current coding-agent techniques. The advisor periodically researches recent releases, model updates, articles, workflows, skills, hooks and integrations using the active Claude Code, Codex or Cursor web tools. Dated public findings are filtered against the accepted task and observed session signals before becoming advice. Suggestions include a source and a concrete use; a release does not establish that a feature is installed or enabled.
- Turn an idea into the next task prompt. Select a workflow suggestion and press Enter to add a request to the coding agent's input. It asks the agent to check compatibility, propose a short workflow and verification steps, then continue work already authorized. You review and send the prompt. Skill, hook and integration setup suggestions retain their existing reviewable setup flow.
- Bound the research. Discovery receives only the agent name and current date, without private task details, memory or transcripts. Each session and agent gets at most one attempt per hour, one to three searches and two eligible findings, with a 45-second deadline. Failed attempts also enter the cooldown. Set
CULLY_DISCOVERY=offto opt out; the setting travels with queued jobs to an already-running daemon. Local warnings and evidence-triggered tool-gap research remain available.
Update with cully update --version v0.25.0. Discovery requires working web tools in the configured agent and uses that agent's model access; it shares the automatic advisor request budget. Source states are agent-reported. See the advisor guide.
This release does not add detached server-side coding sessions, full execution replay after crashes, or automatic sandbox replacement. For service upgrades from before v0.24.0, follow the private memory schema upgrade guide; the v0.24.0 data migration still requires matching services and a database backup.
