Headline

Switch a module off without deleting it: list it in disabled in config/mod.php. Its runtime parts stop loading, and its migrations keep running so switching it back on is safe.

Added

  • Switch a module off without deleting it: list it in the new disabled key of config/mod.php. A disabled module's providers, commands, listeners, subscribers, policies, routes (with its scheduled tasks), views, components, page namespace, translations and scaffolds don't load; its migrations still run. mod:list marks it (disabled), and mod:list --json adds disabled and unknown_disabled. Changing the list needs no mod:cache (#64).
  • Retrying a finished update after a newer update of the same lineage is a no-op. The installed record remembers its finished updates, and the result's new superseded_by field names the newer update's intent and plan identity (null for the latest). The mod.maintenance.completed config key caps the history (default 50); a record from before 0.12 starts it on its next update (#213).
