v0.8.0
Headline
Mod 0.8 can keep generated files up to date safely. A new experimental maintenance API updates the files a recipe or package generated, but only where they are untouched. Edited files and collisions with host files stop the update before anything is written, and interrupted updates can be resumed. It supports POSIX checkouts only. See Keeping generated files up to date.
Added
- Experimental
Tey\Mod\MaintenanceAPI for keeping generated files up to date:Artifact,Checkout::inspect()andMaintenance::diagnose(),apply()andresume(). Mod compares each file's original, current and target bytes, replaces only untouched files, runs the host's checks and records the installed version last. Edited files and host-file collisions stop the update before any write. Interrupted updates can be resumed. POSIX checkouts only (#91).
