Breaking changes
- The plugin is renamed Meet With a Librarian and moved to a new folder and file:
meet-a-librarian/meet-a-librarian.php. WordPress treats it as a different plugin from 1.x. - The REST namespace is now
meet-a-librarian/v1. - The admin page slug is now
meet-a-librarian. - All option, post type, post-meta, CSS, and JS names now use the
meetlibprefix.
When the plugin first loads, a one-time migration moves the 1.x roster, the booking-page URL setting, and all past appointment requests to the new names.
Upgrading from 1.x
- Deactivate the 1.x plugin. Do not run both versions at the same time.
- Upload
meet-a-librarian-2.0.0.zip(wp-admin → Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin) and activate it. - Check that the roster and the Appointment Requests list look the same as before, then delete the 1.x plugin.
- Purge the page cache. Cached pages still point to the old REST routes.
Widget links pasted into LibApps/LibGuides (?librarian=<slug>) keep working.
