Is WA 2.0 Implemented? #saveyowsup

The WA 2.0 seems to be implemented in Chat-API as stated in this page. Is that implemented in Yowsup 2?

Can we implement it? Is it a hard job? Can we do it without decompiling any APKs and simply porting it from Chat-API? Since it seems like WhatsApp has disabled new registration for s40, as per few threads in the repo, seems like we have no choice other than WA 2.0.

If somebody here has worked or touched that part of code recently, please provide your comments.
