Camera Controls

  • Left mouse + drag -> Rotate Camera
  • Right mouse + drag -> Pan Camera
  • Scroll Wheel -> Zoom Camera
  • Alt -> Holding Alt while moving the camera will prevent regular mouse event (like selecting an entity)

  • Shift + X -> If a token is selected, focus the camera on the selected token.
  • WASD -> Pan Camera

Game Camera

By default, the game camera will be enabled on your scene. You can both disable it globally or on a per-scene basis. In the 3D Canvas Global settings you can adjust parameters for the Game Camera in it's specific Tab. This special camera mode restricts the view to the scene bounds and to specific angles\zoom levels

  • Click the Location Icon in the scene navigation to toggle the game camera (as GM). By clicking the ? button you can see the Game Camera Controls directly in 3D Canvas.

Entity Interaction

  • Left mouse + drag -> Drag Move Token. There is no box multiple selection but if you have multiple entities selected and move one the others will follow with the same delta of movement/elevation While dragging, scroll wheel will change altitude (you can add shift\ctrl modifiers for granular changes) Default +-5 elevation, shift +-1, control +-0.1
  • Shift + Click -> Select multiple
  • Ctrl + Mouse Wheel -> Rotate currently controlled entities
  • Click (on empty spot) -> Deselect all entities (GM Only)
  • Ctrl + Click (on empty spot) -> Deselect all entities
  • F -> If you manually changed the Elevation of an entity, you can tap F to re-enable ground snapping.

Standard foundry interactions work (Left click to select, right click for HUD, Double left for sheet/config, Double right for config/target)

Measured Template

  • Mouse Wheel -> When in template preview (dnd5e when casting a spell) to rotate the template
  • Scroll Wheel -> While Placing a template, unsnap the second point and place it manually
  • F -> Re-enable snapping

Pings

  • Shift + Q -> Ping and focus the camera
  • Shift + E -> Ping Location

Tile Editor

While in the Tiles Controls you can press this button () to display a GM only chat message with a quick controls reference.

With one or more tiles selected:

  • S : Scale
  • R : Rotate
  • T : Translate
  • G : Toggle Gizmo
  • Q : Cycle Fill Mode
  • CTRL: Hold when starting a Gizmo Transform to duplicate the currently selected tiles and leave a clone behind.
