CommercialBreaker Windows Beta Build

What's This?

Windows EXE version of CommercialBreaker! No Python needed - just download and go.

Beta Warning (You've been warned!)

  • Console Window Madness: When detecting commercials, console windows will pop up like Saibamen. They'll close themselves eventually, just don't look them directly in the eyes.
  • Speed: Might be slower than the Python version (blame PyInstaller, not us)
  • Windows Defender: Will probably freak out because we're not paying Microsoft for code signing on a beta.

What You Need

  • Windows 10/11 (64-bit)
  • 8GB RAM (anime takes space)
  • Some patience for the beta jank

How to Use

  1. Download CommercialBreaker.exe
  2. Double-click it
  3. Windows will complain - click "More info" → "Run anyway"
  4. Welcome aboard the Absolution!

What Works

✓ TOM GUI in all its glory
✓ Commercial detection (with console window light show)
✓ Plex integration
✓ DizqueTV/Tunarr support
✓ Making your anime feel like 2003 again

Known Jank

  • Those console windows during detection are totally normal for this beta
  • First run might be slow while Windows realizes we're not evil
  • If it crashes, try the Python version (it's more stable anyway)

Build Info

  • Python 3.10.11 + PyInstaller 6.14.1
  • Built: June 2025

Note this may be a version or two behind the python/docker version

Build it Yourself

Don't trust an EXE from some weebs on the internet? Smart move, space cowboy!

Want to compile your own? Here's our build script:

https://github.com/theweebcoders/CommercialBreaker/blob/main/ExtraTools/CommercialBreakerToEXE.py

It's literally one script - easier than instant ramen. Just run it and wait. Way less complicated than explaining to your friends why you're adding commercials BACK into anime.

Pro tip: If you're paranoid enough to build it yourself, you're probably paranoid enough to just use the Python version anyway. But hey, we don't judge.

Note: This is beta AF. For the real deal, grab the Python source or use Docker. But if you're feeling adventurous and don't want to install Python, this'll get you sailing on the Absolution.

Stay gold!
