A Focus Score that matches your day. The Focus Score now adds up three parts, the way Apple's Sleep Score does: focus time against a daily focus goal (50 points), continuity, the share of your focus time spent in sustained stretches (30), and distraction (20). Switching apps no longer costs points by itself, and a break of up to 10 minutes doesn't end a stretch. The goal is 4 hours by default; change it in Settings → General → Work hours. Click the score to see each part's points and what's behind them. The labels follow the Sleep Score too: Very Low, Low, OK, High, Very High.

Until today's goal is met, the ring keeps filling up and the menu bar reads "So far", and Reports leaves today out of its averages. Days with less than a quarter of the goal in focus time are left out of averages too, so a day off doesn't drag a week down.

Review only what matters. Apps and sites used for less than 5 minutes in the last 30 days are listed apart and no longer count towards the badge. Keeping the model's answer marks it reviewed instead of adding a rule, and Mark N as Reviewed clears the list in one click.

Fixes

  • Open Dashboard, Settings and the Accessibility link close the menu bar popover instead of leaving it on top of the window they open.
  • The score ring no longer touches its caption on the Today page.

Past days are scored the new way too. Weft adds them up again in the background after the update, once; a year or all of history may take a moment the first time you open it.

Install: download Weft-0.4.0.dmg, open it and drag Weft into Applications, replacing the old version. Your history and permissions carry over. The app is signed with Developer ID and notarized by Apple.

Requirements: macOS 26 or later.

Your projects, over months and years. Reports now covers a week, a month, a year or all of your history, in two tabs. Agents shows how long your coding agents worked on each project. A project is the git repository they ran in, wherever it's checked out, worktrees and subfolders included. Click one for its whole history: week by week, which agents, and what each session was about. Your time shows your own time by category and your Focus Score over the same period. Hover a bar to see what it's made of.

pi. Sessions of the pi coding agent now show up next to Claude Code and Codex. Thanks @KorenKrita (#1).

简体中文. Weft now speaks Simplified Chinese. It follows the system language, or pick one in Settings → General. Thanks @KorenKrita (#2).

A readable timeline on busy days. When many agents and your own work overlap, Today keeps each block wide enough to read. The rest fold into a "+N" you can click to see them.

Lighter on your Mac. The main window no longer keeps the CPU busy while you're not using it.

Fixes

  • Read Again in Settings → Agents no longer drops history from logs the agents have since deleted.
  • Codex sessions that lost their project folder get it back.

The first time you open a month or a year, Weft adds up the days before it in the background. That happens once.

Install: download Weft-0.3.0.dmg, open it and drag Weft into Applications, replacing the old version. Your history and permissions carry over. The app is signed with Developer ID and notarized by Apple.

Requirements: macOS 26 or later.

Your coding agents' work, too. Claude Code and Codex sessions now show up on the timeline next to your own work. Only the time an agent is actually working counts, not the hours a session sits waiting for your next prompt. Time you spend away or distracted while an agent works counts as waiting on it, towards your day; the Focus Score still only looks at you. With HAPI 0.33 or later, agents on your other machines show up too. Adjust it in Settings → Agents.

Works without Apple Intelligence. Connect any OpenAI-compatible API (OpenAI, OpenRouter, DeepSeek, Ollama, LM Studio…) in Settings → Model. Without a model, Weft guesses each app's or site's category from its App Store category or name, and the guesses wait on Review for you to confirm.

Better categories. The model now sees the titles an app or site was used under most, not the first one it saw (often a login page or a new tab), so far fewer sites end up as Browsing.

Fixes

  • Moving between focus apps, like a terminal and the docs in your browser, no longer counts as switching, and a short detour doesn't end a deep-work stretch.
  • Break reminders fire for people who keep working: only 5 minutes or more away counts as a break.
  • Work-hours notifications are no longer lost or repeated when Weft relaunches.
  • Settings shows when notifications are turned off.

Install: download Weft-0.2.0.dmg, open it and drag Weft into Applications, replacing the old version. Your history and permissions carry over. The app is signed with Developer ID and notarized by Apple.

Requirements: macOS 26 or later.

The first release of Weft, a local-first time tracker for the macOS menu bar.

Install: download Weft-0.1.0.dmg, open it and drag Weft into Applications. The app is signed with Developer ID and notarized by Apple, so it opens without security warnings.

Requirements: macOS 26 or later. Apple Intelligence is optional; without it, built-in and your own rules still categorize your time.

See the README for what Weft does and which permissions it asks for.
