I don't have Flash and can't work with SWF or FLA. So I tried to convert them into something more useful for me.

I tried Google's Swiffy HTML upload & conversion form on https://www.google.com/doubleclick/studio/swiffy/ but it works only for very few SWF files.

Any solution to this?

Do you have access to a Flash trial?

I used a gist I found here https://gist.github.com/dopiaza/7614901 to convert files quickly with flash. Just download the 30 day trial and convert away! The gist didn't quite work, so you may have to tweak it a little - I think clipCopy can be removed if it throws errors.

If you have remainder .fla files in your folders you should be able to just rm *.fla to mass delete. Not the most elegant solution, but it gets the assets in the right format!

Jpexs Decompiler will convert assets in swf's into other formats, for example the frames from a specific sprite (png / gif / avi / svg / html5 canvas / pdf), and is written in java and runs under linux. It does have a cli.

I recommend to use Sothinik SWF Decompiler. It will convert your SWFs to an editable version to edit without using Flash.
