A Python program that simulates systems connected with one-dimensional elements. Used to simulate problems of fluid distribution networks and one-dimensional structures. Supports linear and nonlinear problems.
This is a project whithin the class of programming of NTUA School of Civil Engineering which I took and calculates hydraulic properties of open channels.
The script determines the onset of cavitation in a water system by taking inputs of temperature, flowrate, and throat area. It then calculates the cavitation number for a range of flowrates and generates a table of flowrate, cavitation number, and velocity at which cavitation is expected to occur.
