Fix: A segment of a WMV (ASF) film no longer waits for the whole file to be downloaded. Every request for one segment's packets walked the whole Data Object from its first packet, so no segment, the first included, had input bytes until the whole file was downloaded, and each missing byte stopped the walk with one more request for bytes. Field 2026-10-23, proxy 2.105.10: a WMV whose picture is re-encoded stood on source-input-ranges-unavailable for 81.5 s until the viewer left, and its encoder never ran. A segment's packets are now read from a window of the file's fixed-length packets around it: the first packet is found by its send time, the window ends once every payload presented before the interval's end has been read, and the swarm is asked for the window at once. The answer is the same as the whole walk's; a file whose packets are not all of one length is still walked whole (#ttv-243).
