What's Changed

Added

  • On/off switch for multi-line paste confirmation (issue #399) — the confirm_multiline_paste safe-paste guard, which shows a preview and asks before pasting text that spans multiple lines as a pastejacking defence, was configurable only by hand-editing settings.toml. The Terminal tab of Settings now has a "Confirm multi-line paste" switch next to the other paste controls; it reflects the stored setting, and toggling it takes effect live on save through configure_terminal_with_settings. No behaviour change to the guard itself. (rustconn/src/dialogs/settings/terminal_tab.rs, rustconn/src/dialogs/settings/mod.rs)

Fixed

  • The AppImage now uses its bundled translations, so Settings → Interface → Language takes effect (issue #400) — the saved language was persisted and applied at startup, but the AppImage never found its own translation catalogues: an AppImage is mounted at a random temporary path exported as $APPDIR, and locale_dir() only looked in Flatpak, Snap, macOS bundle, user-local, XDG and system locations, so gettext was bound to the host's /usr/share/locale, which has no rustconn.mo, and every language fell back to English even after a restart. Locale lookup now resolves $APPDIR/usr/share/locale (with a fallback to ../share/locale next to the executable's usr/bin directory) ahead of the user-local and system directories, and only when it actually holds a rustconn.mo, so a normal install is never misrouted. The OBS AppImage recipe shipped no catalogues at all; it now compiles po/*.po into the bundle as the GitHub release AppImage already did. Flatpak, Snap, deb, RPM, Nix and macOS were not affected. (rustconn/src/i18n.rs, packaging/obs/AppImageBuilder.yml)

Dependencies

  • Updated (semver-compatible, transitive): aws-lc-rs 1.18.2 → 1.19.0, aws-lc-sys 0.46.0 → 0.47.0, libz-sys 1.1.30 → 1.1.31. A cargo update refresh for the release; cargo deny check advisories is clean before and after. cargo-sources.json regenerated for the Flatpak/Flathub manifests.

Verifying your download

Every binary on this release (deb, rpm, AppImage, Flatpak) is covered two ways.

Plain checksums — download SHA256SUMS alongside the asset, then:

sha256sum -c SHA256SUMS

Signed build provenance (SLSA, via Sigstore) — proves the file was built by this
workflow from this commit:

gh attestation verify RustConn-0.24.1-x86_64.AppImage --repo totoshko88/RustConn

(The snap is signed by the Snap Store; the macOS build is delivered via the Homebrew tap.)
