NAME

xclipboard.vim - yank text from Vim to the X clipboard transparently

DESCRIPTION

xclipboard.vim is a very simple script that defines two mappings for you:

<leader>w send the current line to the named pipe
<leader>W send the current buffer to the named pipe

vim_xclipboard is a daemon that sits and watches the named pipe for data. When data is retrieved, it's added to the X PRIMARY clipboard buffer. Now you can use shift+insert or middleclick to insert the just yanked text anywhere in X.

Additionally, a persistent buffer in the form of a plain text file is kept in your $HOME directory.

TODO

Visual selection

There's no mapping set for visual selections. I've tried really hard to get it working, but I'm not there yet. I'd love to get patches or suggestions for this bit.
