Added

• Smarter task clarifier — the clarifier now explores the codebase before asking questions, infers intent from code context, and limits itself to at most 2 genuinely ambiguous questions (down from 5-10). Self-answered questions are no longer shown. Attached images (screenshots, mockups) are read by the clarifier before it decides what to ask.

Changed

• Task detail action bar redesign — replaced the split button with a text dropdown and send button. The bar animates in and out smoothly instead of popping.
• Answer and nudge modals — replaced browser-native prompts with proper in-app modals. Nudge pre-fills the default message. Buttons show loading state during the request, and modals stay open on error so your typed text isn't lost.
• Transcript labels — the first message in agent-launched sessions is now labeled "Prompt" instead of "Human #1" to distinguish the task brief from user-typed messages.

Fixed

• Detail view layout shift — eliminated visual jank when navigating into task details (flickering bars, tab reflow, content jumping).
• First transcript message missing — the initial task prompt was silently dropped from the transcript viewer. Now always rendered.
• Onboarding checklist "Later" button — was permanently dismissing the checklist instead of minimizing it. Progress bar now accurately reflects each step's completion state.
• Silent failures across the app — systematic sweep to surface errors that were previously swallowed silently: daemon stop now reports actual results, clipboard and update-check failures show toasts, corrupted caches are cleared gracefully, and the "Add project" button shows proper loading state.
• Duplicate Telegram bot processes — startup now detects and kills a duplicate bot when one is already running for the same gateway.
• Crash on multi-byte task titles — fixed an unsafe string truncation in captain logging that could panic on non-ASCII characters.
• Focus outline on buttons — removed an unintended purple focus ring from all buttons; form inputs retain their focus indicator.
