The first release of Sea Life (Havets dyr), for Bedrock and Java (Fabric):

• 35 creatures, each with its own model, animations and sounds:
  • Freshwater: perch, pike, zander, brown trout, carp, wels catfish and European eel.
  • Sea: herring, mackerel, plaice, garfish, lumpfish, Atlantic wolffish, swordfish and ocean sunfish.
  • Tropical: clownfish, blue tang and lionfish (its spines poison whatever hits it).
  • Sharks and rays: hammerhead, great white (it goes for hurt swimmers), whale shark and manta ray.
  • Seals: harbour seal, grey seal and walrus.
  • Whales: harbour porpoise, orca, beluga, narwhal, humpback, sperm whale and blue whale.
  • Penguins: emperor, king and gentoo.
• Fishing. The Angler’s Rod and the Sea Rod cast a bobber. When it dips, strike, then fight the fish with a tension bar: hold sneak to reel in, let go when the line gets tight. What bites depends on the biome, the depth and the time of day, and every fish has its own weight. The vanilla fishing rod catches herring, mackerel, perch and a few others too.
• Tame a seal with herring or cod. It follows you on land and in the water, sits when told, and now and then brings you a herring.
• Ride a whale by grabbing the fin of an orca, beluga, humpback, sperm whale or blue whale. It swims where you look, and you can breathe while you hold on.
• Penguins toboggan on their bellies across ice and snow and huddle together at night. Seals and penguins come ashore to sleep.
• Fish in a bucket. Scoop up small fish with a water bucket and let them go in your own pond. A water bucket in your off hand catches small fish alive when you land them.
• Food: cooked white and oily fish, fish steaks, smoked herring (smoker), fried plaice, fish and chips, fish soup, sushi and the Danish stjerneskud.
• Fish Guide: records every creature you spot and your biggest catch of each fish.
• Realistic Hunting: fish and sharks are game for the harpoon and speargun. Seals, whales and penguins are protected.
• English and Danish, in the game and on the website.
• Bedrock needs version 1.21.120 or newer, because fishing looks up the biome under the bobber.

Install

• Windows, Android, iOS: download SeaLife-0.1.0.mcaddon and open it. Minecraft imports both packs. Needs Minecraft Bedrock 1.21.120 or newer.
• Then edit or create a world and turn on Sea Life under Behavior Packs. The resource pack is turned on automatically.
• The .mcpack files are the same packs separately, e.g. for servers.
• Java Edition (Fabric): put aquatic-fabric-0.1.0+26.3.jar in your mods folder together with Fabric API and GeckoLib (Minecraft 26.3).
