Setup

OSX instructions

1. Download and open the DMG file.
2. Run the package file to install on OSX.

• Installation will say it did not complete, but the OSX software should successfully install.

Command line instructions

Go into the package contents:

cd /Volumes/HDHomeRun\ Utilities/HDHomeRun\ Utilities.mpkg/Contents/Packages/hdhomerunconfig.pkg/Contents/Resources

Run the following:

$ hdhomerun_config discover
# Should return the device and IP.
hdhomerun device 103D12A1 found at 10.0.1.12

$ hdhomerun_config 103D12A1 get /sys/version
# Returns the current firmware version.
20130328

If you see a different version from 20130328, then run the following:

$ hdhomerun_config 103D12A1 upgrade hdhomerun3_atsc_firmware_20130328.bin
# This downgrades firmware to whatever this firmware is
uploading firmware...
upgrading firmware...
rebooting...
upgrade complete - now running firmware 20130328

Use

1. In OSX, run hdhomerun_config_gui.
2. Beginning scanning for channels.
