Support for TIM361-2134101

Hello,

I tried to use the launch file sick_tim sick_tim551_2050001.launch to connect to my TIM361-2134101.

Then I get the error that only TiM3xx: firmware versions < V2.5 are supported.

I see two options but I would like to ask for help:

1. Are you going soon to provide support for firmware version V2.54?

2. Is it possible to downgrade the firmware version of the laser? I did not see the option in the SOPAS Engineering Tool V3

Hi,

sadly the the newer firmwares don't support ranging, see #36 and linked issues for a discussion. You would need to talk to SICK regarding downgrading, afaik we never looked into that.

The only thing you could try is ask @SICK-NorthAmerica for a solution. He mentioned in #33 that people should write him an email, so until he complains I'll keep pointing people with this problem in his direction. :)
