• Google sign-in with the unified account: opens your default browser, where Google is already signed in, so picking your account is all it takes — no password to retype. The browser hands back a one-time code via the valink://uc-login protocol, which the app registers on launch; if VaLink is already running, the link is forwarded to the running window instead of starting a second copy.

• Single portable EXE (.NET 10 self-contained, compressed): uses the system proxy, no admin rights needed.
