Counting Edge 1.1.0
What's new in v1.1.0
- New app icon: the Counting Edge card artwork replaces the default Android icon, with a matching themed (monochrome) icon on Android 13+.
- Full H17 strategy: when the dealer hits soft 17, the Strategy Chart now doubles soft 19 vs 6 and, with surrender, surrenders hard 15, hard 17 and 8,8 against an ace. Hard 17 gets its own row when it plays differently from 18+.
- Undo beside the count pad, with the last few cards next to it and the newest highlighted.
- Two-pane layout in landscape.
- Strategy Chart: a distinct colour per action and a legend.
- Bet ramp shows each step's unit count under its pip.
- System switches mid-shoe recount the cards already seen and tell you the old and new running count.
- Cheat Sheet and Help scroll and highlight the plays that apply at the current count.
- Fixes: level-2 true-count thresholds are compared at one decimal without truncation; surrender, undo and Drill Mode edge cases.

Counting Edge 1.0.0
Counting Edge: Card Counter is now open source and shipping as a direct APK download — no app store, no account, no ads, no tracking. First public release.
Features
- 7 counting systems, all unlocked — Hi-Lo, KO, ReKO, Hi-Opt II, Omega II, Zen Count, Wong Halves.
- One-screen workflow — Running count, true count, estimated edge %, bet-ramp recommendation, penetration, and shoe depth all live together.
- Rule-aware strategy — Table rules (S17/H17, DAS, surrender, resplit aces, max splits) feed the basic-strategy chart deviations and the edge model.
- Ace side count — Dedicated panel for Hi-Opt II and Omega II, with running "aces expected vs seen" and an ace outlook.
- Deck-aware unbalanced resets — KO and ReKO reset to the correct IRC for the chosen shoe (1 / 2 / 4 / 6 / 8 decks).
- Full-screen Strategy Chart with count-based deviations highlighted at the current true count.
- Toggleable Cheat Sheet overlay for frequently-missed deviations.
- Undo + Recent Cards panel to recover from mistaps without resetting the shoe.
New in v1.0.0
- Session persistence — your running count, shoe depth, seen cards, selected system, and table rules now survive an app restart. Nothing is transmitted; state is stored locally in
SharedPreferences. - Drill Mode — timed running-count practice. Pick length (26 / 52 / 78 cards) and speed (Slow / Medium / Fast), watch cards flash, enter the final count, see exact / off-by-N results. Uses whichever counting system you're currently practicing.
- Per-system edge gain — advanced systems now use their actual Betting Correlation (Hi-Opt II 0.46, Omega II 0.47, Zen 0.49, Wong Halves 0.51) instead of a shared Hi-Lo baseline.
